Eugène Mutimura is a Rwandan scientist and science-policy administrator, Executive Secretary of Rwanda's National Council for Science and Technology and formerly Minister of Education.
He took his doctorate at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2007 and researched HIV disorders as a Fulbright Scholar at Washington University in St Louis. He coordinated the Eastern and Southern African Centres of Excellence project, a World Bank programme supporting research and teaching across sixteen universities in eight countries.
